Habitat for Humanity - Matthew Desmond: 'Evicted' discussion

On June 3rd, 2021, 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm, Habitat for Humanity Seattle / King County will host their annual meeting 'Beyong the Build Benefit'. Matthew Desmond, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City will be the keynote speaker. Evicted transforms our understanding of poverty and economic exploitation while providing fresh ideas for solving one of 21st-century America’s most devastating problems. Its unforgettable scenes of hope and loss remind us of the centrality of home, without which nothing else is possible.
 
Habitat will be hosting 3 independent virtual book club meetings with a guided discussion, and they invite you to add your voice as they talk about how eviction, housing affordability and poverty impact our community.
